National Breakfast Week – Ibiza’s favourites
Every place in the world prides itself with its cuisine on National Breakfast Week, and here in Ibiza, every meal is bursting with flavour and gastronomic history. Having an amazing cultural background, Ibiza’s cuisine developed throughout the centuries, becoming the great mixture of tastes it is today.
Every local and visitor who has ever eaten on the island has acquired by now a strong sense of what ibicean food means. The amazing textures you can find daily in every traditional meal served in Ibiza are complemented even more by the fact that most of the places use the island’s resources to cook most of the food you can find on the menu. Everywhere you go you will see colourful farmers markets providing beautifully tasting organic products. We strongly believe that this single fact distinguishes Ibiza from many other places that welcome tourists, by offering them a genuine taste of the land they decided to have their holiday on. And that translates in a great cultural experience overall, just being able to know a place by tasting its roots.
For National Breakfast Week, we are keen on remembering every morning (or late morning) when we have discovered the flavours of Ibiza inside freshly made Einsamadas, Tapas or even Paella. How many times have you quenched your morning thirst with Granizados or Horchatas, after a wild beach party? We know we have, more times than we can remember! Having a fresh, vitamin-packed breakfast on the terrace of your villa, at a restaurant along the coast or even at the beach, is what made a great start of our day every season. And for that, we thank our gastronomy, our chefs and cooks who work hard every day to provide our taste buds with pleasure, and our wonderful land that grows magnificent fruit, vegetables and herbs!
