Explore the Ibiza West Coast
One of the most known spots to explore on the Ibiza West Coast is, of course, San Antonio. But there actually are tiny villages around San Antonio that seem totally out of this world.
San Antonio
With a modern port and a center area filled with bars, clubs, and cafes, San Antonio does not lack tourists at any given time of the year. People come here to admire the sunset or to enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches. Moreover, there are plenty of boats to take you in whichever hidden area of the coastline you want to explore.
San Antonio is famous for the best spots to watch the Ibiza sunset; but there is more to the West coast of Ibiza than meets the eye. While the overall atmosphere might be one out of a chillout song, the West End strip of clubs bring together more and more music lovers each year.
Sant Rafel
Located at the heart of Ibiza, Sant Rafael is one of those villages where medieval meets modern and takes you out for a spin. The main attraction of the town is the huge community of pottery workshops. Here you can admire skills that have been passed down for centuries and even get a souvenir for home. At the end of the day you can also wine and dine in one of the many sophisticated restaurants in the area.
Sant Mateu
Being the smallest and most compact village on the Ibiza West Coast, Sant Mateu teleports you in another era once you set foot on its soil. Surrounded by plantations of almond trees intersected by small paths, the village is also known for the large variety of wines it has to offer. Here you can simply lose yourself to the world! If you feel like taking a trip on wine history lane, here lies the oldest bodega in Ibiza and you can visit it and have a tasting of different wine brands.
Santa Ines
Shielded by hills on all sides and situated in a valley filled with almond trees, Santa Ines is the best place to have quiet walks in nature, go biking, and reconnecting with your inner self. You can admire the beautiful scenery and a magnificent sunset from the highest spots around the village, and quench your thirst at one of the local bars, while enjoying a mouthful of local cuisine.
Next time you’re in Ibiza don’t forget to go off the beaten path for a change and go visit tiny pieces of history and nature that will truly be worth your while.
