Ibiza in Autumn
Autumn is slowly claiming its territory and every Ibiza lover hates living the island so soon. There’s never enough for us, and that’s why we have learned to enjoy Ibiza in autumn, just as much as we do in summer.
Autumn is the best part of the year when you can enjoy the surrounding nature and take a while to rediscover yourself. That is why all the autumn activities in Ibiza are centered around walking around the island, going on island cultural and historical tours, exploring the Ibizan cuisine in one of the many local restaurants or simply lounging in one of the best spots to see the sunset.
Having a picnic this time of year might be more inviting than you thought. The local markets are filled with fresh fruit and vegetables, and you can easily get specially prepared produce to fill your picnic basket. Not to mention a bottle of wine is mandatory if you want to do things by the book. Now all you need is a blanket, which you can get from one of the many hippie markets around the island, and a companion to share everything with. There are many great spots for a picnic, and you can enjoy spectacular views while having a light dinner surrounded by nature.
During the day you can take some time to explore the unknown parts of the island on a walking trip or a hike, together with a group of people. This is your chance to make new friends and exchange travel experiences while breathing fresh air and getting to know the lesser known trails of Ibiza. If you’re more on the active side of life, you can even go on a bike tour and keep your body fit while enjoying nature.
Learning more about Ibiza is great fun, especially when you are accompanied by a specialist and a group of people as eager as you are to find out more about Ibiza’s cultural heritage and amazing history. You can opt for a tour of Ibiza’s museums, learn about its wildlife or explore the necropolis or ruins on the island. Either way, you’re bound to get tons of information on the spot and see Ibiza with new eyes!
Last, but not least, if you’re a gourmand you simply can’t let this season go to waste without enjoying its colors from the window of a restaurant up the coast, sea below you, and the promise of exquisite meals arising from the intricate smells coming your way from the kitchen’s restaurant.
Anything you choose to do while spending autumn in Ibiza, your time will be well-spent. We promise you’ll never want to go home after getting to know the island more like a local, but don’t worry, you can always get a house here!
