Ibiza Events – Part II
Now that autumn is in, the island awaits with a series of new Ibiza events; whether you plan on relaxing or having wild fun, there is still time for both on the island that never sleeps.
Ibiza Events – Autumn
September
September sets the stage for two festivals in Ibiza. If you are a jazz enthusiast, you will have the chance to see a whole bunch of international jazz performers. Don’t miss the local musicians’ performance either-they’re really good as well! The second festival takes place at the end of the month and it celebrates Saint Michael. There’s a huge village fair going on and you get your pick of activities as far as entertainment goes. From street food to music performances and dancing, everything is out for grabs!
Don’t forget the Medieval Seafarers Market in San Antoni, which promises to be quite thrilling. Everybody loves some live music now and then, and there’s plenty to go around for everybody at this event! You can bring your children too, as there are usually a lot of activities for them to enjoy while you have some grown up fun. Last, but not least, the closing parties taking place at the end of the month are not to miss! Make sure you get to some of the biggest beach clubs around the island on their last opening day-you’ll have the time of your life!
October
If you’re still on the island in October, the Ibiza events now are for everyone to enjoy. It all starts with the Light Festival in Ibiza Town when everything transforms into a land infused with magic. You’d better not miss the pretty lights enveloping the whole Ibiza marina, as it truly is a unique event. The fun continues with the Es Cubells Festival taking place all over the island. Everything’s traditional here, from dances, music, and food, so take your camera for some great snapshots! And after all that food, it’s only normal to get fit in Ibiza’s Trails Marathon which takes you off the beaten trail. Get to know the real beauty of Ibiza in this running course which ends the Ibiza season events of October.
November
It wouldn’t be Ibiza if we didn’t focus, again, on good food. So we crown the entire month of November with a food festival where traditional cuisine can be found at its best. All the restaurants on the island show off their special skills through special menus and workshops. You can also take special tours of the island and learn about how local produce is made. At the middle of the month, we can enjoy yet another festival, the Festival of Saint Gertrude. It has food, fun, parties, and sports, so a little bit for everyone.
Who said autumn in Ibiza is boring? Au contraire! This is the place to be this season, if you want to wine and dine like a local, and have tons of fun while doing it.
