How To Survive a Heat Wave
You’re in Ibiza having fun during your well-deserved holiday, and the heat wave hits. What do you do? How do you survive it while keeping your spirits up and doing what you`re here to do in the first place – and that’s feeling awesome and having fun?
First of all, keep yourself well hydrated. The summer heat can very well drain the last drop of water out of your body, so it’s important to maintain a good lever of hydration throughout the whole day. Water is not your only option, you can also resort to eating fruits and vegetables that contain high amounts of water, and you`ll even feel refreshed afterwards.
Clothing also plays an important role when summer comes to take its toll and surrounds us with unbearable heat. Wearing clothes made out of breathable and breezy materials keeps sweat at bay and makes us feel comfortable during the day.
Going to the beach is a big part of any Ibiza holiday, so it’s crucial you are careful with sun exposure. Don’t lay on the beach at noon, when the sun is up and the UV rays are at their peak. Instead, you can schedule your beach time in the mornings and mid-afternoons, and enjoy having your lunch or doing other activities on the island in between. Don’t forget to apply a lot of sunscreen before laying in the Ibiza sun, it prevents unwanted burns and it can probably prevent ruining a good part of your holiday. Nobody wants to spend their vacation with sore skin, not being able to sleep or move freely.
With that being said, when the heat wave hits, take care of yourself and your loved ones properly, and your holiday will not be affected by it. You can continue to have fun and enjoy the magnificent island of Ibiza while taking these small precaution measures. It won’t cost you a thing!
